Product trials: Give us your feedback

You can help decide what information resources the Library buys! Join our product trials and give us feedback on resources under consideration. Currently two products are available for a limited time:

  • DynaMed: Clinically-oriented summaries of 3,000 topics for use at point-of-care. Trial ends 3/22/2009.
    • Connect to DynaMed
    • Learn more about DynaMed
    • Provide feedback on DynaMed
  • Springer eBooks: More than 12,000 full-text books covering medicine, biomedical/life sciences, behavioral sciences, and chemistry and materials science. Trial ends 4/30/2009.

We appreciate your participation. Your input is important to our decision-making.

COS shows you the funding!

NOTE: COS Pivot is no longer a UT Southwestern Library resource. Go to the Library’s Grants Portal for current grant resources.

COS (Community of Science) lets you search listings of available grants and other funding opportunities worth more than $33 billion. Funds are available for many purposes, including research, meeting support, fellowships, postdoctoral positions, equipment, and capital or operating expenses in all disciplines.
COS allows you to:

  • Search for funding opportunities by field of specialization
  • Set up “Alerts” to be notified of new funding opportunities as they become available
  • Track changes in funding listings
  • Store a curriculum vitae (CV) with a fixed URL to allow referrals to the CV
  • Establish a profile in “COS Scholar Universe” to allow potential collaborators to locate you based on specialty

Read more about COS at the Instructions page which features:

  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
  • Tutorials
  • Tips on Searching

Entering “COS” in the search box of the Library Web site allows you to access COS and three related tutorials.
