Help DISD homeless children: Donate school supplies at Library

You can help homeless children by donating school supplies at a drop box in the South Campus (main) Library or on North Campus at NC8.308 until July 30th. Backpacks, notebooks, crayons, calculators, and pencils are all needed. Personal items such as hand sanitizers, tissues, gently-used school clothes, and shoes are also welcome.
This donation drive is being organized by the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) to benefit homeless children in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). Currently, there are about 4,000 DISD students without any sort of permanent living arrangement. For this drive, the GSO is working with the district’s Community Relations and Homeless Education Program departments. The GSO organizers for the drive are Tracy Diaz and Bethany Gray.
