Access patient records via "clinical workstations" in Library

The South Campus (main) Library has two “clinical workstations” that offer access to the UT Southwestern electronic medical record (EMR) system. Each workstation is in a private enclosure with a color printer and phone.
These workstations are for use by individuals who have a UT Southwestern ID badge with a “clinical image” or a UT Southwestern hospital ID or by medical students in their second, third, or fourth years. (Staff in other categories who feel they need access should contact the Library’s Information Desk at 214-648-2001.)
Keys to these rooms can be checked out from the Information Desk for two hours by showing a qualifying ID. Funding for the installation of these workstations, and their enclosures was provided by the Florence Foundation.

University Hospital–St. Paul Archives moved to Library

The University Hospital–St. Paul’s extensive archive documenting the history of St. Paul has been moved from the hospital to the UT Southwestern Library. The St. Paul materials will be kept as a separate collection within the UT Southwestern Archives at the Library. The Library has served the University Hospitals–St. Paul and Zale Lipshy since their merger with UT Southwestern in 2005.
The St. Paul archive contains publications, photographs, and unpublished materials documenting the over 100-year history of St. Paul Hospital (later called St. Paul Medical Center), from the time of its founding in 1896 to the present day. The St. Paul archive also includes documents and photographs from the St. Paul School of Nursing, which operated from 1900-1971.
For information about the St. Paul archives, or if you wish to consult material from the archives, contact Bill Maina, Archivist, by email or by phone at 214-648-2629.
